Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has warned of dire consequences in the event the name of the coalition changes from Azimio-One Kenya to Azimio La Umoja.

Speaking to Citizen TV on Friday, Kalonzo maintained that the coalition agreement signed indicates that the outfit is dubbed Azimio-One Kenya and not Azimio La Umoja.

Kalonzo expressed his commitment to ODM leader Raila Odinga’s presidential bid saying he is determined to ensure he wins.

He, however, said in the event the Azimio camp fails in its bid, it will not because of him.

It is on that backdrop that he called for the need to stick to what was signed at KICC which gave birth to Azimio-One Kenya.

"But if someone comes with his shenanigans comes and change the name from Azimio-One Kenya to Azimio La Umoja, I will tell the whole country. Because that was agreed. That will be a deal-breaker. Changing a name that we agreed and signed will be a deal-breaker," Kalonzo said.

He added: "I cannot have just Azimio La Umoja. I will tell the whole county that someone wants to mess up and I am sure they will agree with me".

On other members insisting that the signed agreement was Azimio La Umoja, Kalonzo exonerated them from any blame saying they were not aware of what was signed.

He said the agreement of having Azimio- One Kenya was made between him, Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"The name of the coalition was based on the three-legged stool. And by the way, those were not my own creation. It was a result of consultation between Jubilee, OKA and ODM. We agreed that we will have a three-legged approach," he said.

"The 25 secretaries-general were not aware that the name was Azimio-One Kenya. They signed in good faith."

According to him, when Raila was being unveiled as the presidential flagbearer there was little time for clarification on what was agreed on.

"What was announced on stage did not tally with what was signed and there was no time to keep members up to speed with what had happened," he said.

"I'm a senior counsel, I know what I signed."

He, however, called for the need to have a retreat that will see parties involved in the Azimio-One Kenya meet, discuss and iron out in-house issues.

"There is a deep understanding between me, my friend Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta. Maybe we call our troops together for some kind of retreat and give them the script to read.
