Musician Kevin Kioko aka Bahati was on Friday welcomed at Jubilee Party's Headquarters.

He officially announced that he will be vying for the Mathare MP seat under the party's ticket.

"Mimi Mtoto Wa Mathare... I am a proud member of the Jubilee Party and the Azimio Movement. I am accepting the calling to vie for this seat."

Before his announcement, Bahati released a song in collaboration with ODM leader Raila Odinga dubbed 'fire'.

Fire is a phrase the ODM leader has commonly been using in his campaign rallies.

In an analogy, Raila equates his supporters to an army, bullets to a voter's card.

He always ends his speech by proclaiming 'fire', numerous times, to mean they should vote massively come August 9, polls to ensure he wins the presidency.
