The mandatory wearing of masks has now been lifted, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe announced on Friday.
All eligible and vaccinated travellers arriving at any point of entry in Kenya must have a negative PCR test result conducted; not more than 72hrs before departure.
Kagwe, however, warned that those who travel knowing they are positive for Covid will be subjected to an entry PCR test of Sh5,700 (50USD) at their own cost and must self-isolate.
Unvaccinated travellers arriving in Kenya will be subjected to a mandatory PCR test of Sh3,500 (30 USD) at their own cost.
However, he has scrapped the mandatory PCR test for those that are fully vaccinated and travelling on international flights and domestic.
Children below the age of 15 have been exempted from the test.
All travellers arriving in Kenya must complete a COVID-19 travellers Health Surveillance form before their arrival, even if only transiting.

Truck drivers and members of the East Africa Community travelling, will not require any other document including a negative PCR Test as long as they are fully vaccinated.
The use of temperature screening has been stopped.
Domestic and international flights to resume at full capacity and all passengers are required to have a mask during the transit.
Those who test positive on antigen tests are required to fill in the locator form, on jitenge platform.
