Kenya has recorded four new Covid-19 cases after 3,956 people were tested in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate now stands at 0.1 per cent
Meanwhile, one patient was reported dead after late facility audits in February, bringing the number of recorded deaths is 5,641.
A statement released by Health Cabinet Secretary on Sunday showed all the four cases are Kenyans; two males and two females. All are from Nairobi County.
The youngest patient is a one-year old child while the oldest is 42 years old.
The total number of confirmed positive cases is now at 323,075 while the cumulative tests conducted to date stand at 3,043,120.
Within the same 24-hour period, 23 patients recovered from the disease, 22 of them from Home based and Isolation Care while one is from a health facility.
The total recoveries recorded to date are 3003,352 with 250,363 being from the home based and Isolation Care while 52,989 are from various health facilities across the country.
Meanwhile, 452 patients are under Home based and Isolation Care program while 35 patients are admitted in various health centers countrywide.
One patient is currently in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on ventilator support while seven other patients are on oxygen supply in general wards. No patient is on High Dependency Unit (HDU).
Vaccination
The total number of vaccines administered across the country are 16,876,436, with 7,709,875 being to those who are fully vaccinated while 7,879,179 are to the partially vaccinated.
The total number of doses administered to those between the ages of 15 to 17 years is 1,028,336.
Total booster doses administered to date are 259,046.
Kagwe said the uptake of the vaccines among those who received their first dose was at 64.1 per cent while the proportion of fully vaccinated adults is 28.3 per cent.
The CS said the number of doses administered in the last 24 hours is 5,036 while the number of people fully vaccinated within the same period is 3,653.
The government is working towards vaccinating a targeted population of 27,246,033 by the end of 2022.
