It is a day of reforms for Jubilee as it holds its last National Delegates Convention (NDC) at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju had earlier stated that the party is expected to review the party’s policies and ratify proposed changes to the party’s Constitution to comply with electoral laws.

Also, over 4000  party members will be expected to approve the party’s new seal, symbol and flag.

Jubilee party colours in the past have been red, yellow, black and white.

Red was the ‘dominant”  colour on The National Alliance (TNA) logo before the merger with Deputy President’s William Ruto  United Republican Party (URP) whose dominant colours were yellow and black.

However, with the reality of political alliances and endorsements, change is expected after Ruto who has since moved on to form the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) after his fallout with Uhuru.

Early this month, Jubilee Party rolled out a public campaign exercise aimed at highlighting President Uhuru Kenyatta’s successes ahead of its two-day NDC.

The campaign has been part of a re-branding exercise the party started which includes mobilization programmes that they hope will see it regain strength and crucial support to have major stakes in the next government.

The party has been on the verge of disintegration with most of its members shifting allegiance to DP's  affiliated UDA party

DP Ruto has openly declared that he will be moving forward with the Hustler’s party, UDA.

With the final axe, President Uhuru on Wednesday backed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for the top seat during his Sagana III meeting saying Ruto is not qualified to lead Kenya.

The DP  said he respects the President's decision to back the former Prime Minister.

In the new symbol and flag that will be revealed today, the clasped fists symbol, signifying the Jubilee unity after 13 political parties merged in the run-up to the 2017 general election, has been removed.

This has been replaced by a white dove symbolizing peace.

The yellow and black colours that represented  Ruto’s has also been deleted from the new logo and replaced with white and red colours.

Jubilee’s initial party’s slogan ‘Tuko Pamoja” has also been removed and replaced with “ Mbele Pamoja”.

President Uhuru Kenyatta who is Jubilee’s Party leader is expected to arrive at KICC for the meeting.

However, in the morning hours, Uhuru is said to have chaired a National Executive Committee meeting at State House which will have a consequential outcome for Jubilee’s big day.
