DP Ruto returns to Kiambu as Raila's Azimio heads to Nyamira county

Ruto has been on a six-day tour of the Central Kenya region since Monday.

Deputy President William Ruto will on Friday return to Kiambu County in another vote hunting mission.

This will be the third time, in less than two months that Ruto is in the county to drum up support for his presidential bid ahead of the August 9 polls.

He will be accompanied by a section of MPs allied to his UDA party, alongside Kenya Kwanza coalition partners Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya).

On Thursday, the DP's presidential campaign team visited Kirinyaga County, where they made several stops to sell their bottom-up agenda.

Ruto has been on a six-day tour of the Central Kenya region since Monday.

The Raila Odinga-led Azimio la Umoja team is expected to camp in Nyamira County to drum up support for the former prime minister.

Azimio Mtaani brigade has been visiting counties holding rallies as they campaign for the ODM leader, who will be making a fifth stab at the country's top job.
