Kalonzo hints at joining Raila's Azimio

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday took One Kenya Alliance campaigns to Kisii County to drum up support for his team ahead of the August 9, elections.

Kanu leader Gideon Moi, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua and Cyrus Jirongo skipped the rally.

In his address, Kalonzo revealed that his camp is ready for coalition talks with like-minded formations.

The Wiper leader confirmed that talks are ongoing between his camp and the Azimio la Umoja team led by ODM leader Raila Odinga.

"I have made it clear that we are talking to President Uhuru Kenyatta. You may be thinking that he is going away but he is busy strengthening Jubilee," Kalonzo said in Nyamira on Thursday.

He added; "Tuko tayari kufanya mazungumzo na wenzetu wenye roho safi, wasio wafisadi. Wafisadi ndio wamesababisha kutokuwa na ajira,” Kalonzo said.

Loosely translated to: "We’re ready to negotiate with like-minded outfits who are not corrupt. The corrupt are the ones behind the massive unemployment facing Kenya".

Kalonzo also used to visit unveil his development plan and on top of the list was free secondary education for all.

He said every Kenyan child deserves free education adding that he was among those who pushed for free education during retired president Mwai Kibaki era.

He also pledged to invest heavily in the manufacturing sector to create more jobs and improve the economy.
