Raila's D-Day looms as ODM sets NDC on same dates as Jubilee

ODM party will hold its National Delegates Conference on the same dates as the ruling Jubilee party.

A notice by the ODM secretary-general stated that the meeting will be held at Nyayo stadium.

"Please take notice, pursuant to article 7.2 as reading together with article 7.5.3 of the Orange Democratic movement constitution, that the National delegates convention shall be held on the 25th and 26th February 2022 at the National Stadium from 9:00 Am," the Notice by Sifuna reads.

It is during the NDC that a joint session will be held between the two parties where Raila will be endorsed for the presidency.

Jubilee vice-chairman David Murathe had announced last week they will have a twin NDC alongside ODM that will culminate in announcing Raila at Nyayo National Stadium as the joint presidential candidate.

Party officials scheduled to attend the ODM meeting include all members of the National Executive committee, all chairpersons of the Branch executive committees, all members of the party's parliamentary group.

All members of the council of governors and deputy governors, all members of the regional coordinating committee, majority or minority leaders in each county assembly among many other groups of party officials are set to attend.

The agenda of the meeting, among others, includes consideration and confirmation of the minutes of the NDC held on 17th March 2017 at Kasarani Indoor Gymnasium and consideration and ratification of the NGC decision

A similar meeting is set to be held by the ruling Jubilee party during which a decision to back Raila will be arrived at
