Among those present were Murang'a senator Irungu Kang'ata, LSK's Nelson Havi, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa among others.

During a church service earlier, Ruto called on Amani National Congress party leader to ensure that his big announcement will help to bring unity and harmony across the country.

Ruto said that he is hoping that, the alleged earthquake announcement will eliminate the politics of deceit and hatred that he says has been in Kenya politics.

“I came to church earlier today because our political friend Musalia Mudavadi promised an earthquake today. I'm hoping it will eliminate the politics of deceit and build Kenya that is more united,” Ruto said.

Last week, ANC rubbished reports that it has invited Ruto to Mudavadi’s presidential bid launch.

On Thursday, nominated senator Petronila Were told the Star that Ruto has not been invited to the Bomas of Kenya on Sunday.

“The top political leadership of the country that we have invited are the Oka principals, I can confirm that because I did sign the letters,” Were said.

She went on, “The rest are just rumours because the other leader we have invited is speaker Muturi who is a personal friend to our party leader.”

Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala also said Ruto and UDA officials had not been invited to the convention.
