Deputy President William Ruto will on Thursday return to Ukambani, to seek support for his 2022 presidential bid.
This will be the second time the second in command will be on a charm offensive in the region that supported ODM leader Raila Odinga in the 2013 and 2017 general elections, in less than three months.
During his Machakos tour which will begin at 9 am, Ruto will make stop overs in at least eight towns in the county.
They include; Ol Donyo Sabuk, Tala, Kangundo, Kivani, Kakuyuni, Kathiani, Mitaboni and Joska.
This is the DP's first tour of Ukambani this year.
On the other hand, ODM leader Raila Odinga will take his campaigns to Migori county.
Raila will hold several meeting in the Kuria region and later hold a rally at Kehancha stadium.
The former PM has been calling for unity through his Azimio la Umoja Movement.
