Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has reiterated his support for the Azimio la Umoja convention, ahead of the big day.
In a statement on Friday, Kibwana said that his party also supports the national unity call.
He also said his wish is that the spirit of reform, devolution and unity prevails at all times.
"On this day of #AzimioLaUmojaNationalConvention, on behalf of Muungano Party, I convey fraternal solidarity to HE Raila Odinga, ODM and all Azimio supporters. May the reform, devolution and unity spirit always prevail," Kibwana said on Facebook.
The Azimio la Umoja convention is being held at the Kasarani stadium today.
During the event, ODM leader Raila Odinga is expected to announce his bid for the country's top seat in 2022.
On Thursday, Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi has said that he will not be part of the One Kenya Alliance principals attending the Azimio la Umoja Convention at Kasarani Stadium.
Mudavadi, through a post on his Twitter account, said that he had been officially invited in a personal capacity to attend the much-awaited event, but would not attend because of earlier planned engagements.
“Raila Odinga is a worthy competitor, I wish him well because tomorrow will clearly be his day in the sun,” Mudavadi said.
Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has also stated that he could not attend the event due to prior engagements.
Raila on Thursday inspected the ongoing works at the Kasarani Stadium ahead of the convention.
