ODM Raila Odinga has rallied Kenyans to register for Friday's Azimio La Umoja that will take place at Kasarani, Nairobi.
In a poster seen by the Star, anyone wishing to register for the Convention should Text RAO to 24550.
"This is to get timely updates," the poster reads in part. The texts are free of charge.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has put Jubilee's machinery at the disposal of handshake partner Raila to plan his 2022 presidential declaration on Friday.
It will be Raila's fifth attempt to capture the highest office in the land and will build the case for why he is the best man to lead Kenya.
The ODM leader is expected to show his political might, complete with international connections at the 60,000-seat Moi International Stadium, Kasarani.
The team planning the Kasarani event is led by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed working with five delegates from each of the country’s 1,450 wards.
This means there would be at least 7,250 representatives from across the country.
For Nairobi, organisers are considering giving 10 slots to ODM and Jubilee.
ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna confirmed both the Orange Party and Jubilee are jointly planning the December 10 event.
“It is now common knowledge that everything we do, we will do as a team. Even in planning this event, we are working as one team,” Sifuna said.
On Monday, Raila met top ODM and Jubilee officials from across Nairobi county for planning.
