Securex Agencies (K) Ltd launched their 2021 high school scholarship program targeted to their Security Officers.

Securex CEO Tony Sahni said the high school scholarship program will see five high performing students of security officers receive funding for their high school education.

“The high school scholarship is part of our employee welfare program, which aims to support and appreciate our uniformed staff. At Securex, we believe that we are all one big family and, we want everyone to succeed,” Sahni said.

The scholarship program was launched in 2014 and has seen 43 students receive sponsorship for their education.

The scholarships are open to security officers who have served the company for more than 10 years.

Sahni added that the pandemic has seen many disruptions in the education sector.

"However, with funding for the students' school fees and other amenities such as school uniforms and stationery, the parents will be at ease and students can focus on their education.

"Acquiring good education is an important building block to a student’s future. We are delighted to give them this stability as they soar for greatness,” Sahni added.

Since the onset of the pandemic, the education sector has experienced numerous challenges ranging from term disruptions and schooling from home.

As the new school term begins in July, Sahni urged the students to maintain the same hunger for success throughout their high school curriculum, assuring the students of the company’s commitment towards ensuring that they have every chance of achieving their ambitions.

In attendance was the Securex Executive Director, Anju Sahni, who congratulated the beneficiaries for their hard work and assured them of the company's support.

"Congratulations to you all. Rest assured that we will hold your hand throughout this next journey in your lives," she said.

Ogaro Samson, a beneficiary of the 2016 Securex Scholarship program, attested to the ease Securex has given him as he pursues his high school education.

"I attained an A-minus in my KCSE and Securex extended the scholarship to the university. I am now studying chemical engineering at Moi University.

"I encourage all beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity because if you excel in your KCSE exams Securex will extend the scholarship to the university," Ogaro said.
