Jubilee Party has removed Soy MP Caleb Kositany from his position of deputy secretary general and replaced him with Cherangany's Joshua Kutuny.

In a letter dated March 1, secretary general Raphael Tuju said the decision was made after a National Management Committee meeting.

Kositany is a strong ally of Deputy President William Ruto, who has been on a collision course with his boss - President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He is among nine aspirants who have declared interest in succeeding Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago on the ticket of the UDA Party linked to  Ruto.

He is the latest aspirant who said on February 18 he is consulting constituents and other stakeholders and will announce soon.

“The decision to run is already on the cards," he told the Star.

Just last week, while appearing on KTN, Jubilee Vice-Chair David Murathe vowed to remove Kositany from the position. The Soy MP who was also on the show dared Murathe to go ahead do it saying he was not intimidated by his threats.
