Deputy President William Ruto has sent his heartfelt condolences to the family and the people of Kilifi following the demise of former Kilifi South MP Mustafa Iddi.
He described Mustafa as selfless, focussed with an exceptional commitment to public service.
"Mheshimiwa Mustafa Iddi was a progressive leader who relentlessly championed for the empowerment of the people of Kilifi South; he was selfless, focussed with an exceptional commitment to public service," Ruto said.
He added that Iddi was a formidable and brilliantly acute journalist with integrity.
"Iddi was a dedicated seeker of truth, indomitable, insightful and a moral enthusiast whose leadership espoused justice for all. We will miss his resolve and drive to improve the lives of the people of the Coastal region," he said.
"Our prayers and love to the family, friends, the people of Kilifi South, colleagues at the Coast Water Works Development Agency and the entire journalism community. Rest In Peace, Mheshimiwa Iddi."

“Mustafa is asthmatic and this time he got a serious attack and was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately he died around 3 am,” said Kuta.
He will be laid to rest on Wednesday afternoon at his Bomani home.
