Seven deaths recorded as Kenya's virus cases rise to 38,378

Country records 210 new cases from sample of 3,604 tested in the last 24 hours.

Kenya on Wednesday recorded 210 new Covid-19 cases bringing the country's total caseload to 38,378.

This was from a sample of 3,604 tested in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health in a statement confirmed all except 10 are Kenyans.

 
 
 

Age-wise, the youngest is a six-month-old infant while the oldest is 91 years.

 

On a positive note, 59 patients have been discharged after successful recoveries raising the country's recovery total to 24,740.

Out of this, 49 were discharged from the home-based care program while 10 were from various hospitals.

Sadly, seven patients succumbed to the disease bringing the country's fatalities to 707.

The cases reported were distributed in Nairobi (55), Kericho (36), Kitui (24), Kiambu (21), Nakuru (19), Mombasa (15), Kisumu (10), Kisii (8), Kilifi (6), Turkana (5), Embu (4), Wajir (2), Machakos, Kakamega, Kwale, Nandi and Kajiado had (1) case each.
