Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and former Bomet governor Isaac Rutto have vowed to support calls to amend the constitution.
The duo on Monday said they would rally KANU and Chama Cha Mashinani parties to support the push to have the Constitution amended through the building bridges initiative.
Senator Moi gave the revelation after a meeting Rutto at his Tumoi residence in Chepalungu.
Moi said together with other likeminded leaders from various parties will support BBI as it seeks to ensure the lives of Kenyans are transformed.
He pointed out that the success of BBI will see devolution strengthened through increased revenue to the counties hence their support for it.
"We want content that is going to help out people. We support it because inside it we want more funds to our counties, what is there for youth and also women," he stated.
The Baringo senator said they will continue to engage leaders from other coalitions supporting it ahead of the countrywide meet-the people popularization tours.
The duo also discussed the Mau issue which has seen many families evicted from their lands at Mauche, Nasuet and Marishoni in parts of Nakuru where they commended the government for stopping further evictions.
They, however, steered clear of the 2022 politics.
Moi is warming up for the Presidential seat and has already received the blessings from his party though he is yet to publicly announce it as compared to Deputy President William Ruto who is also eyeing to it and set to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Rutto on his part emphasized the need for leaders to shun spreading hate messages and abusive words against each other.
"CCM shares the same views with other parties which include Kanu and that is why Moi came for a chat," he said.
Others present during the meeting were Chepalungu MP Gideon Koskei and Nyangores MCA Andrew Maritim.
Rutto last week hosted Cherangany MP Joshua and CCM secretary general Buzeki Kiprop.
