DCI has arrested three robbery with violence suspects who have been terrorising Kapseret bodaboda operators in Uasin Gishu County.

They were arrested on Tuesday night and three motorcycles recovered at Soy Likuyani after they attacked and robbed a victim, leaving him unconscious.

"On gaining consciousness, the victim, whose motorcycle Reg. no. KMFA 484W was robbed after the gang of four armed with machetes attacked him at Berur area, alerted the police who jointly with members of the public pursued the suspects with the aid of a tracker fixed on the bike," DCI said.

The three suspects, Zedrick Mulama, Robert Safari and Silas Lugalia, were all cornered and arrested at Soy and upon rigorous search three motorcycles Reg. nos. KMEW 297D, KMFA 484W & KMEW 390U were recovered.

"After interrogating the suspects, officers proceeded to the home of the fourth suspect at Sauti ya Engine estate, but who on sighting the police and to avoid arrest, took his life by cutting open his throat with a kitchen knife," DCI said.

The three suspects are in custody being processed for arraignment.

Meanwhile, DCI arrested a man at Kahawa West who has been passing as a lawyer and issuing fake orders purporting to be genuine orders from courts in Kiambu and Nairobi.

DCI says that the suspect, Ethan Kamau Njagi has been obtaining money falsely from unsuspecting members of the public and has on many occasions represented them in court proceedings by pretending to be a partner with several law firms within Nairobi and Kiambu.

"Stamped documents made by the suspect bearing the names of different law firms, believed to be fake or forged were recovered from the suspect's house by the sleuths and have been retained as exhibits pending his arraignment," DCI said.
