•Osotsi called for party grass-root elections to change the leadership which includes Mudavadi as the party leader, insisting he has all the party certificates.
Migori County’s Amani National Congress party officials have accused Raila Odinga and the ODM party of using nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi to frustrate their leader.
Officials said Osotsi is an “ODM mole” receiving instructions from Raila to frustrate ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi’s 2022 presidential bid by creating discord in the party.
Led by Migori ANC branch chairman Omwami Ambaka, officials said Osotsi has gone to bed with ODM and they are out to undermine the party.
“We tell Osotsi that he is only nominated and will face party disciplinary action. He should officially resign and join ODM party,” Ambaka said.
Party’s youth leader said if Otsotsi wants to be in ODM, let him relinquish his position and decamp officially instead of creating unnecessary wrangles in the party.
Osotsi called for party grassroot elections to change the leadership which includes Mudavadi as the party leader, insisting he has all the party certificates.
Officials, speaking in Migori town on Sunday, said the wrangles come as Mudavadi, who has supported Raila in the last two general elections, seeks mandate from voters.
Branch organising secretary Samuel Embayi said their party wrangles started after ODM officials called Mudavadi a fence-sitter for supporting the Building Bridges Initiatives.
“Why is it that when we ask for their support then our party leader is deemed a coward yet when we rallied behind Mr Odinga, everything was okay?” he wondered.
The officials challenged Osotsi to call for the grass root to help weed out ‘ODM moles” from ANC.
