Impeached Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru had moved to court on Tuesday, seeking to stop her ouster.
However, in contempt of court, the county assembly listed the impeachment motion for tabling on June 9.
In her amended petition, Waiguru said she only came to learn of the motion on Monday evening, when she was informed that the MCAs were sleeping in the assembly, waiting to move and pass the motion.
She said the tabling, discussion and passing of the impeachment motion violates her rights as well as those of the members of public who have not been given a chance to participate in the process.
Pending the hearing of the amended petition, Waiguru wanted the court to stop the Kirinyaga County Assembly from discussing the impeachment motion.
The MCAs however went ahead with the impeachment motion on Tuesday and voted to kick Waiguru out with 24 out of 33 ward reps voting against the governor.
On Wednesday, Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka formally received a notification and documents from the Kirinyaga county officials on the impeachment.
Lusaka said he had received the resolution of the House to oust Waiguru, a list of all MCAs who attended the session and endorsed the motion and the charges against her.
