Nairobi county has embarked on an exercise to fumigate all public places within the CBD.
County Deputy Director for Health Wilson Langat who is leading the process said places targeted include Nyamakima area, bus stops, public sitting places like National Archives among others.
Langat said the exercise will be continuous.
“ We have diluted the chlorine so that it does not affect the public. Our priority at the moment is to disinfect hot spot areas in the CBD where the public often crowd,” he said.
He said later the teams will extend the fumigation to the team will target downtown areas.
The team will be fumigating the most crowded places in the CBD.
