A couple who accused a court clerk of defrauding them Sh1 million, now want the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti to investigate the judicial official.
The couple, Rosaline Agola and Wolfgang Wedeking claimed Hassan Hamisi, a court clerk at Ukwala Magistrates court was given the money to fund a project and was to repay the money immediately.
They filed a complaint at the DCI on December 2, 2019, about the inaction by the DCIO Ugunja in Siaya County over the issue.
The couple has since built a school and a technical college but when they were in Germany goods worth Sh1 million were stolen from their forty-feet container by Hamisi.
Rosalina said that they started Montessori Academy and a primary school at Sindindi in Siaya County that has about four hundred students.
“My husband and I started a technical school where carpentry, tailoring, welding and many other including housekeeping courses are offered,” she added.
She said that Hamisi had called her while in Germany and informed her that property was being stolen and he suspected her mother to be involved.
“They later harassed my mother and the area chief to cover up their actions,” said Rosalina in the complaint letter.
While in Germany, the woman claims that Hamisi started making changes in their compound without their permission.
The aggrieved woman says that Hamisi had been seen by Kristine Macheusi, his girlfriend, packing her property in a pickup and another motor vehicle.
“Hamisi used his two brothers who were my workers and has influenced the police who are unwilling to recover my property. I humbly request for your intervention before more damage is caused to us, “she added.
When reached for comment by the Star, Hamisi denied the allegations and instead said that they had an agreement with Rosalina.
According to him, the couple had agreed to facilitate his project in Nyeri County.
“I not aware of any complaint against me because there is no police officer who has summoned me over the issue,” said Hamisi.
He added that he is waiting to be summoned if indeed there is any complaint against him from Rosalina.
