Seven suspected gangsters have been shot dead by police officers at Isinya in Kajiado County.
The thugs, who were not immediately identified, were fatally injured after they were trailed by DCI detectives from the special crimes unit in Nairobi.

Police recovered an AK47 rifle with 39 rounds of ammunition, jungle jackets, and police radio calls from the scene.
Early this morning, detectives drawn from the Special Service Unit operating within Isinya spotted a motor vehicle registration number KCB 583L with suspicious individuals on board.

The DCI officers caught up with them in a car chase from Nairobi to Isinya.
The car chase from Nairobi that started shortly after midnight on Wednesday ended up at China camp on the Isinya/Kiserian road at 2 am on Thursday.
Isinya Sub-County Police Commander Kinyua Mugambi said the incident did not involve his officers.
The bodies were moved to the Kajiado Level Five Hospital mortuary.
The vehicle which the gangsters were using were impounded at Isinya Police Station.
The comes amid intensified efforts by the DCI in collaboration with the Kenya Police to crackdown criminal gangs in the country.
In August last year, two gangsters were shot dead by police officers in Nairobi.
The deceased persons were gunned down by undercover detectives at Huruma in Mathare subcounty.
This came after police shot and killed five gangsters in a period of four days in various parts of the city.
The thugs were killed in Westlands and Kasarani subcounties.
Nairobi regional police commander Philip Ndolo said that three gangsters died on the spot after they were shot at by cops in Kasarani.
