A fuel tanker truck has overturned at ACK Salama guest house area along Mombasa Road spilling fuel on the road.
Makueni county commissioner Mohammed Maalim
says the tanker overturned at around 1am causing heavy traffic snarl up.
All passengers and personal vehicles have been bared from using the road.
Drivers in the area have been advised to exercise caution.
Those heading to the Coastal city of Mombasa are advised to divert at Konza and use Wote-Makindu road.
Those travelling from Mombasa to Nairobi are also advised to divert at Makindu and use Wote-Machakos road.
No injuries have been reported.
