Two more people have been arrested in connection with last Friday’s attack on Junju senior chief David Kahindi.
Baraka Chikodza, 53, and Jackson Magunda, 55, were seized on Wednesday evening at their Junju home.
Kilifi police commander Fredrick Ochieng’ said the number of those arrested in relation to the attack has reached 15. “They will be charged at Shanzu court with offences ranging from attempted murder to obstruction of police officers on duty,” he said.
Kahindi was seriously injured when he went to stop a night vigil, popularly known as disco matanga.
On Monday, Interior CS Fred Matiang’i directed that no disco matanga will be allowed past 11pm.
