The Kenya Bureau of Standards on Wednesday lifted the suspension of Dola and Kifaru maize flour as well as Nuteez and Zesta peanut butter.

This is after they carried out corrective measures which had caused them to be withdrawn from shelves over high levels of aflatoxin.

The bureau inspectors conducted inspections to review and determine the effectiveness of the controls put in place by the companies, that were to ensure that their future products meet the requirements.

"You are required to arrange for destruction of the recalled non-conforming products in consultation with KEBS and as required by the law," KEBS said a statement on Wednesday.

Other suspended brands are yet to implement corrective measures, KEBS said.

They are Starehe Maize Meal, 210 Two Ten Maize Meal, and Jembe Maize.
