In two days, 118,658 registered voters are expected to vote from a field of 24 candidates to be the next Kibra MP.
The by-election was occasioned by the death of Ken Okoth, who succumbed to cancer in July.
Among the candidates seeking to replace him are; Jubilee's McDonald Mariga, ODM's Bernard Imran Okoth, ANC's Eliud Owalo among others.
The campaign period ended on Monday.
Candidates made last-ditch efforts on Sunday to woo voters ahead of Thursday’s poll.
On Sunday, Deputy President William Ruto visited Laini Saba in an entourage that was heavily guarded, a move that was heavily criticised by ODM party.
"How they enter someone’s bedroom. Fear and armed security all over. BOOM, Kibra is ODM," the Raila-led party tweeted on Sunday.

‘Pray for Mariga’ that was Ruto's clarion call to Kibra residents ahead of Thursday.
Ruto said the November 7 poll shall be a ‘do or die’ battle as he pledged his full support for Mariga.
“As Jubilee, we are optimistic to win the race by a landslide. We only ask Kenyans to pray for this day, especially for our candidate, Mariga as he faces the tedious challenge,” he said.
Mariga in his speech said he will push for the legalisation of bhang if elected as the next Kibra MP.
“Mnataka tuongelee mambo ya shada. Tunajua shada inacure cancer. Hio lazima tuipush. Shada si ni medicine? Sasa mimi nataka muniingize bunge tuanze kutetea hiyo mambo ya shada (Let's talk about marijuana; we know it cures cancer. We need to push for it. However, we do not want you to misuse it. Vote me in and I will push for it),” he said.
Jamaican reggae artiste Kenyatta Hill performed during Mariga's campaign rally at Laini Saba grounds.
In a short clip that has been doing rounds on social media, the artiste, endorsed Mariga saying he believes the retired Kenyan international midfielder is the right choice for the people of Kibra.
“Kenya wagwan, this is Kenyatta Hill. On Sunday am coming to join you. Yes. I am coming to help you to make a decision. You know who we are going to celebrate with. We are to celebrate with Mariga. I am coming to help in support and to show my support for this brother-Mariga,” Hill says in the short video.
On his part, Imran held his final rally at Woodley grounds, Kibra.
Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua said his endorsement of Imran was in keeping with the spirit of the handshake.
“At the end of the day, the people of Kibera deserve the best. From where we stand as a party, we are confident that Imran represents the aspirations of his people and will carry the legacy of the Late MP, Ken Okoth to improve the lives of the people of Kibra,” Mutua said.
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru also joined ODM leader Raila Odinga saying her move was out of respect for the handshake between the AU envoy and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"We must say in plain truth that the country is peaceful because of the handshake. We will protect it," Waiguru said.
"The others who claim they want to bring developments are just baiting you. They are a one-man guitar, unlike Imran who is the fruit of handshake."
ANC's Owalo was not left behind in his final push to woo residents.
Owalo intensified his campaigns at the grassroots with several engagements with wananchi at town hall meetings and at their places of work around Kibra Constituency.
The ANC candidate promised a transformation in the conduct of public affairs going forward once elected.
