Opposition leader Raila Odinga has said that the war on corruption should start with the Judiciary.
Addressing the media outside the Parliament buildings after the state of the nation address, Raila said that it will be impossible to fight corruption being spearheaded by the corrupt judges.
“Judiciary should be cleaned first and the entire legal framework. If you start with a corrupt Judiciary, how can you expect to get proper justice in the country?" Raila posed.
He also added that the Judiciary should speed up the current slow pace that it takes to determine corruption cases.
On his part, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka said that the President is expecting more from Chief Justice David Maraga in the fight against corruption.

Kalonzo said that in his view more actions will be seen very soon touching on implicated individuals.
He said that the President’s ambition against corruption indicates that the war must be won.
ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi said that faster action was expected from the President in terms of corruption.
Mudavadi added that the agencies fighting corruption must not relent in the fight against the vice.
Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula on his part said that he expected the President to say more on matters affecting the farmers.
He said the President should have put enough resources to the farming sector.
Wetangula added that Uhuru should have given more on reforming independent institutions. He said the war against corruption must be fought relentlessly.
“Handshake between Raila and Uhuru and all of us is not the solution to this country. Kenyans problems must be resolved within the context of strong institutions. IEBC must be resolved properly to give this country credible election every time” Mudavadi said.
