President Yoweri Museveni on Friday visited former president Daniel Moi at Kabarnet Gardens

Museveni was seen at the home of the former president accompanied by Baringo senator Gideon Moi.

The three were seen having a chat as they smiled and looked at each other.

"I also visited Mzee Moi and our Speaker, Rebecca Kadaga, who are in hospital. I wish them a speedy recovery," Museveni tweeted.

Museveni who jetted into the country on Wednesday, also visited the mausoleum where founding president Jomo Kenyatta rests and paid his respects.

The Ugandan president received a 21-gun salute, a ceremony traditionally reserved for Heads of State and Government after being received by president Uhuru Kenyatta.

The leaders held bilateral talks at State House, Mombasa, before conducting a joint press briefing.
