Police in Kibwezi on Thursday arrested two men with 10kg of ivory worth Sh2 million.
Kamwila Mwathe, 49, and Kioko Munguti,38, were arrested at Kisayani market along Kibwezi-Kitui road at 4am.
Kenya Wildlife Service spokesman Paul Masela said the two were ambushed by KWS officers from Tsavo West National Park following a tipoff.
"The two from Mutha in Kitui county have been locked at Kibwezi police station. They will be arraigned in court later today," Masela said.
