A man has been arrested after he stabbed his two young daughters in Mshomoroni area, Mombasa on Thursday.
James Maina,30, allegedly lured the two girls aged four and six with a mango and stabbed them at the neck and chest killing them instantly.
He committed the offense
after returning from a drinking spree.
Neighbours who are trying to make sense of the heartless killings were baying for his blood during his arrest.
They described
the two girls as very playful.
"He found them playing outside and called them to their house to give them a mango. He then stabbed them to death," a neighbour said.
The suspect is being held at the Nyali Police Station.
Mombasa police boss Johnstone Ipara said the man has not talked since his arrest.
"We hope today (Friday) he will speak out so that we can get more information from him," said Ipara.
