High Court Judge Wilfrida Okwany on Tuesday suspended the matatu CBD ban.

She said this follows Nairobi governor Mike Sonko's decision to lift the ban and it is not known when it will be implemented.

Justice Okwany further ruled that Monday's ban led to an economic loss in the country.

In the case, businessman Paul Kobia had sued Sonko for banning matatus from accessing the central business district.

The judge said Kobia had raised an arguable case.
