Three Chinese nationals on Monday denied bribing DCI officers probing a ticket sale scandal at SGR.
Li Gen, Li Xiaowu, and Sun Xin are employees of the China Roads and Bridges Corporation (CRBC).
CRBC is the firm that built Kenya's Standard Gauge Railway. The suspects were ordered detained until Friday.
The court heard that they attempted to bribe a team of investigators led by Andrew Warui to influence an ongoing investigation.
The probe involved Florence Gitau - an SGR ticket booking clerk, who was charged with stealing and forgery.
Also facing a probe is Esther Chemaswa Mushong, also a ticket booking clerk who was also charged with stealing.
The Chinese reportedly sought to bribe the detectives Sh500,000 at the SGR Mombasa Terminus last Thursday.
The first installment was supposed to be Sh200,000 which was given on Friday but the detectives refused.
The three Chinese nationals were arrested on Saturday. They were taken to court on Monday under tight security.

State prosecutor Jamie Yemina asked chief magistrate Julius Nyang'eya to give maximum punishment for the three.
The defence lawyers Nelson Sitonik and Queenton Ochieng pleaded with the court to release the suspects on bond.
However, EACC's Zephania Munene opposed the bond application saying the lot might interfere with investigations.
Gen is the transport manager at the SGR, Mombasa Terminus, Xiaowu is the security manager while Xin is a translator.
Munene told the court in an affidavit that Gen tried to destroy evidence by grabbing one of his employees’ phone.
The said phone reportedly had incriminating text messages and WhatsApp chats between him (Gen) and the employee.
Munene said by attempting to issue a bribe, the three were likely to interfere with witnesses to the ongoing cases against them.
Nang’eya said he will issue a ruling on the bond application on Friday.
