A KCSE candidate at Kakimba Secondary School in Suba North constituency has died from labour-related complications, barely a week before completing her exams.
The girl died on Monday at Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital where she had been admitted after developing labour pains on Sunday evening.
"We have information the candidate died because there were some problems in delivery," Homa Bay County Police Commander Marius Tum said.
The girl's death brings it to three, the number of KCSE candidates who have died during the exams in Homa Bay county.
