The Kenya National Highway Authority has closed the

Digo road - Makupa roundabout in Mombasa for 90 days to allow repairs.

In a public notice on Tuesday, director general Peter Mundinia said the works on the 500-metre road are to begin immediately.

"Kenha would like to inform the public that sections of the A109 within Mombasa town (from Digo road to Makupa roundabout ) would be experiencing closure in sections of about 500m to facilitate the ongoing rehabilitation works," Mundinia said.

He

urged motorists and road users to cooperate with the local government and traffic police to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

"The inconveniencies that will be experienced during this period are highly regretted," Mundinia said.
