The government has advertised the positions of vice-chairperson and members of the Public Service Commission.
In a Gazette Notice Number 9557 of September17,
2018, President Uhuru Kenyatta constituted a selection panel.
The panel took its oath of office that was presided over by principal magistrate Joseph Were
at Harambee House.
The panel consists of
state and
non-state
actors.
They include
representatives
from the offices of the President, Attorney General, from the ministry responsible for public service, a representative from the Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
Others include a representative from the Institute of Human Resource Management, Federation
of Kenyan Employers and a representative from the Council for Persons
with
disability.
"The term of office for the current vice chair and the seven commissioners is expected to lapse on January 8, 2019,” says an official communication by the government spokesman.
The selection
panel has encouraged all qualified Kenyans to respond to the call to serve the nation.
