Three Egyptians seized for being in Homa Bay illegally

Police in Homa Bay have arrested three Egyptians for being in Kenya illegally.

The three, Ahmed Lotti, Mohamed Sobby and Ibrahim Rady were apprehended in a house at Makongeni Estate on Sunday.

Homa Bay police commander Marius Tum said the three were operating an unknown business.

“We’re checking their travel documents to determine how and why they are in the country,” Tum said.

The arrest comes

barely a month after five others were arrested in the town without work permit.

The officers are also

holding another man suspected to have collaborated with two suspects to steal Sh50,200 from a petrol station in Rachuonyo North.

Ishmail Odhiambo is being questioned for being involved in the robbery.
