Four die in Nakuru accident after GK lorry hits four vehicles

Four people including two prison wardens have died in an accident involving four vehicles along the Eldoret - Nakuru highway.

The collision occurred when a GK lorry transporting maize from Eldoret hit four other vehicles at EverReady roundabout near Nakuru town.

The two officers were in the GK lorry when its brakes failed.

Rift Valley Traffic boss Ziro Arome said 18 others were injured and admitted to the Nakuru Level five, two among them are in critical condition.

"Two prison warders died at the scene while two others died while undergoing treatment at the health facility.

The vehicles involved included a trailer, matatu and fuel tanker.
