[VIDEO] Crisis as three ferries break down at Likoni

There is heavy traffic at the Likoni crossing channel after three ferries including the newly acquired Mv Jambo broke down on Wednesday.

Mv Jambo which has a passenger capacity of 1,500 was the first to break down and was towed for repairs leaving three others in operation.

An hour later two others Mv Nyayo and Harambee broke down but remained at the ramp.

Currently, the queues of vehicles waiting to board has stretched to over two kilometers.

Ferry Services MD Bakari Goa said Mv Jambo's engine has a problem but engineers are looking into it.
