National Super League log leaders Western Stima face Kenya Police at Karuturi grounds tomorrow, targeting to record their seventh win under coach Paul Ogai.
Western Stima have lost only one match since Ogai took over from suspended Ugandan Richard Makumbi. “We have this week played two games against Kisumu All Stars and KCB which we won. These were matches of high intensity but I’m happy with the performance,” said Ogai. He said for his team to return to the Kenya Premier League, they have to collect maximum points against the law enforcers. Kenya Police held Administration Police on Wednesday while Stima beat KCB 2-1 on Tuesday.
Second placed Nairobi Stima travel to Sudi in Bungoma to play bottom of the table GFE 105. They will be hoping to avoid any slip up as they seek a place in the SportPesa Premier League next season. Nairobi Stima will bank on the league’s top scorer Stephen Owusu for goals. He has so far notched 16 goals. The Ghanian is targeting 20 goals this season. Third-placed Ushuru, fresh from drubbing National Division One side Shabana 4-0 in a friendly match on Thursday at Gusii Stadium, face Migori Youth at Sony Green Stadium in Awendo. Migori Youth formerly known as Isibania FC are fighting relegation from the second tier league. Fourth-placed KCB will start life without coach John Kamau on Monday against Kisumu All Stars at Camp Toyoyo Grounds in Jericho.
In other matches scheduled for tomorrow, St Joseph’s face Talanta at Afraha while Kangemi All Stars host Modern Coast Rangers at Camp Toyoyo.
Kakamega High School’s Green Commandos welcome relegation-threatened Nakuru All Stars while Coast Stima play Bidco United at Mbaraki. Nairobi City Stars and Administration Police l battle it out at Hope Center.
