President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday met business executives of leading US companies under the umbrella of the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU).
Later today, the President is scheduled to meet US President Donald
Trump at the White House.
Kenya is considering a Sh300 billion loan from the US to finance the construction of a six-lane expressway to link Mombasa and Nairobi.
The road is to be done by American construction giant Bechtel.
The President was accompanied by Finance CS Henry Rotich, Permanent Secretaries Christopher Kiptoo (Trade) and
Charles Hinga (Urban planning).
Others present were Majority Leader
Aden Duale, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen
and chief of staff Nzioka Waita.

Dowdupon attended the meeting.
Others were; IBM Research, KEPSA, Apco Worldwide, Twiga foods, Rendeavour, Intelsat, NEC Corporation of America, BCIU, Deere & company, Kenya Komposites, Google and APR energy.
The meeting also composed of various dignitaries and ambassadors of different countries.
