Kenya is set hold inaugural safety awards that seeks to celebrate individuals and companies that have excelled in the management of occupational health and safety at work place.

The annual awards slated for August 31, will feature entrants from across the country with biasness in Nairobi and Mombasa counties. Participants have until August 18 to submit entries.

According to James Kinuthia of Safe Pro Limited, this year's awards will be based on the achievements and progress made in the 2017-2018 reporting year and is open to professionals and organizations in all sectors including manufacturing, engineering and construction, oil and gas, facility maintenance and services.

Noreen Kigochi, communications manager at Ability Resource said the initiative is aimed at enabling organisations and individuals share best practices, manage human resource and raise awareness on the importance of safety at work place. The gala will be in Nairobi.
