Diesel dealers in Gilgil have been warned to stop adulterating their fuel.
Deputy county commissioner Muthike Ndambuki said this was illegal and police will arrest suspects soon. He spoke yesterday after leading a crackdown at Kikopey trading centre. He said that diesel was being mixed with paraffin, causing a breakdown of vehicles that buy fuel from illegal yards.
He said that 300 litres of adulterated fuel wereimpounded during the operation. He said fuel is siphoned at night from heavy trucks.
