Two fishermen were on Wednesday Killed in Turkana North following an ambush by suspected militia along the Kenya-Ethiopia border.
County commissioner Maurice Barasa
on Thursday said four others injured during the attack by Merilee herdmen.
The attack occurred
at 8 pm
at Holigan village, along the shores of Lake Turkana.
"The Merilee killed one fisherman on the spot, the other died at Lowarengak dispensary while receiving treatment," Barasa said.
The injured were rushed to Lodwar district hospital for treatment.
The attack is said to have been a retaliation after Turkana herders allegedly raided Merilee community in Ethiopia and took away several cows.
