Kiraitu reshuffles chief officers to better service delivery

Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi has reshuffled four of his 17 chief officers.

Kiraitu said the minor changes were to promote efficiency in the delivery of public service.

Engineer Stephen Gituma was moved from Roads and Transport to the Energy docket while Kirema Patrick Mionki who was the chief officer, Energy was assigned the department of Cooperatives.

Denson Mwirigi (Trade) was moved to Roads and Transport and Catherine Wanja Kithinji to Trade.

"In order to have efficient service delivery we have reassigned the officers and they will assume their new duties immediately. Letters on their reassignment were already delivered to them. We had a very successful cabinet meeting but matters pertaining to the meeting are not to be discussed or disclosed to you," Kiraitu told Journalists.
