Mombasa High Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of a person said to have been hired to kill a businessman.
Katana Karisa and three others are accused of strangling Issack Kassim along Mombasa-Malindi road
on March 8.
Kassim was a wealthy entrepreneur who traded with Mombasa and Kilifi counties.
Eddlied Mandi, Makonde Ruwa and Ngira Karisa, who allegedly helped Katana, were charged on June 8. Mandi is accused of hiring the hitmen.
Assistant Director of Public Prosecution Alexander Muteti said Katana escaped when police laid siege.
On Wednesday, judge Erick Ogola also directed defense lawyer Daniel Wamosa to file a supplementary affidavit on bail terms within three days.

The state and Muslims for Human Rights (Muhuri), which is representing the deceased's family, have opposed the release of the trio.
Ogolla further ordered Ruwa taken for a medical check-up at Coast General Hospital following assault claims.
Kassim's family claims that he was lured to his death by one of the suspects.
The case was initially before Justice Dorcas Chepkwony who ordered psychiatric tests on the three. Muteti
said, however, that the only psychiatrist at the Coast was unavailable.
The defence complained that the accused have been held separately, hindering legal representation.
In his response to this, Muteti said the nature of the case does not allow them to be held together and added that one agreed to a plea negotiation.
"They have been at different police stations since their arrests," he also said.
Plea-taking and bond term arguments will take place at the hearing on June 26.
