Former Ganze MP Joseph Kingi died on Tuesday
while undergoing treatment for cancer of the bile duct.
The former Kenya Ferry chairman died aged 68.
He was flown to India on Thursday after his condition worsened.
Kingi's daughter Delilah Kahindi said the body will be flown back to the country on Friday.
Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire eulogised Kingi as a dedicated leader.
"For, and on behalf of, the great people of Ganze constituency, I take this opportunity to convey my heartfelt condolences to the family."
Kingi was Ganze MP from 2002 to 2007. He beat Katana Ngala of Kanu to win the seat through Narc.
He also served as Knut's Kilifi branch Secretary Genera and was once
appointed Director pf the Coast Water Services Board.
In 2017, he vied under the Shirikisho Party umbrella but lost to Mwambire.
