Two more suspects have been arrested in connection to burglaries in Nairobi's Kilimani, Riverside and Westlands areas.

Police said the two were accomplices of Lavender Akinyi who was apprehended two weeks ago on suspicion of being the gang leader.

They will be arraigned on Tuesday morning.

Akinyi was charged last week

with several counts of burglary, alongside Tanzanians Shimton Ambasa, Teresa Richard and Rose Richard.

One of the crimes was committed on March 23 at Cullinun Apartments along Nyangumi Road.

It was reported that the four broke

into the house of Wan Baihui and stole property including a laptop, Sh30,000, $100, 600 Chinese yen and jewellery.

Akinyi was released on Sh1.2 million cash bail with the alternative of Sh2.1 million bond for charges in five files.

Ambasa was granted a cash bail of Sh500,000 with an alternative bond of Sh1 million while the Richards were ordered to pay a cash bail of Sh100,000 or Sh200,000 bond.

The prosecution said more than 12 case files in various Nairobi police stations will be presented in court.
