Twenty three people charged with economic crimes in the Sh47 million NYS scandal have been acquitted.

Chief Magistrate Kenneth Bidali said on Friday that the prosecution failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.

Making the ruling at Milimani Law Courts, Bidali added that the prosecution did not give enough evidence to show the suspects committed fraud.
