“It’s true there was a petition in court filed by ODM candidate, I am in Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC), the judgment I don’t agree with but I thank Lamu West residents who supported me on August 8 and voted for me to defend them in the national assembly,’’ he said.

On Wednesday Judge justice Weldon Korir nullified Muthama's election and ordered for fresh elections.

Korir ordered Muthama, IEBC and IEBC returning officer Lamu West to pay Sh 3 million in costs.
